Follow the same procedure to estimate at least two other potential models for HBO productions. Compare all estimated models and determine which one is "best". Hopefully, your R^2 value will be at least 0.80 for the model you choose. Continue to estimate models for other trip purposes in the same manner. Tabulate ALL estimated HBO models.
3.2.4 Creating Model Files of HBW and HBO Production and Attraction[Page]
These previously estimated models are summarized in Table 4 (a and b) and may be used to create production and attraction model files (*.mod) for transcad. In your report, provide a table summarizing the models utilized, including all summary statistics, whether you estimate new models or use previously estimated models.
A model file stores the independent variables and parameters of a regression equation (pr other model). When Statistics / Model Estimation is selected, a model file is automatically created. These model files can also be created by selecting Statistics / Create Model File. These model files are used to apply an estimated model to generate values of a dependent variable (typically stored in an existing field in a dataview).
To create a model file, go to Statistics / Create Model File. On the Create Model File dialog box, highlight the variables that are included in the corresponding model. Click OK and view the Model Coefficients box. Highlight CONSTANT under Variable. In the text box Coefficient, enter the value of the const for the model in question. Highlight an independent variable and enter its coefficient. Click OK to save the model file (e.g., HBW_P.mod). Follow the same procedure for
