7.0.1: Is it possible to send a plot directly to the printer instead of sending it to the plot file?
Only on Intel platforms. Use the EMTOOLWN Print Page option. From the EMTOOLWN menu bar, select:
- Options->Color->Black on white to avoid a black background when printing
- Options->Backing Store->Memory Metafile to improve the quality of the graphics (but this slows down the display of the graphics)
- File->Print Page->OK to send the graphic to the printer
7.0.2: Why are my plots taking so much time to generate and why are my plot files so big?
The size of a plot depends on the hatch width and the plot device used, as specified by the device main menu command. When generating plots with bars, make sure that the hatch width is set to a "reasonable" value. The smaller the value, the greater the number of lines generated (and the size of your plots!). Also, a device table with hardware (or graphtext) characters will generate smaller plots.
7.0.3: Which format file should I use for my HP DraftMaster I plotter?

7.0.4: Which format file should I use for my HP DesignJet 650C?

7.0.5: Which format file should I use for my HP Deskjet 1200C?
The GPL format file hpglgen.gpl should be used for this printer after making the modifications needed for the HP 1200C (follow the instructions included in the format file). For Intel platforms, see also Question 7
