4.0.1: Which graphic adapter should I use?
See the answer to this question in the archived FAQs.
4.0.2: When I try to display graphics, I obtain only garbage. Why?
- Verify that EMME/2 is calLED from within an EMTOOLWN or EMTOOLX window
- Verify that an EMTOOL terminal type has been selected by typing the device command at the EMME/2 main menu level (if there is no such type, read in the latest version of the device table by following the instructions in the EMME/2 Installation Notes).
4.1 Emtool (DOS Version) see archived FAQs.
4.2 EmtoolW see archived FAQs.
4.3 EmtoolWN
4.3.1: Why do I get the following message when I try to change a directory within an EMTOOLWN window?
This problem appears when an incorrect version of EMTOOLWN.EXE (EMTOOLWN 2.4) is used under Windows 2000 or Windows XP. To solve the problem, install version 2.5 of EMTOOLWN.EXE (EMTOOLWN 2.5) which is distributed on the CD-ROM of EMME/2 Release 9.5. To download the latest version of EMTOOLWN, see Bugs discovered in EMME/2 Release 9.3.
4.3.2: Why is a plot displayed so slowly while using EMTOOLWN?
This problem occurs mainly when the Memory Metafile option is selected from the Backing Store option of the Options menu on a slow PC with little memory. In this mode, all graphic commands for the current plot are written to the metafile and replayed whenever a part of the window is exposed. This is slower than copying a bitmap. However, when printing the plot using the Print Page command, the full graphic resolution is preserved, that is, it is possible to print graphics at resolutions that are higher than the screen resolution. If you are not using the Print Page command
