2.0.1: Why do I get the following messages when I try to install EMME/2 from the diskettes:
.:Permission denied mapame: ... .exe] IGET: ...unzip utility!
or
mksums: cannot create sums: cannot create .:Permission denied mapame: ... .exe] IGET: ...unzip utility!
The cannot create problem occurs when trying to install EMME/2 on an NFS or NOVELL partition that is not writable. Change the permission of the mounted directory and retry the installation.
This problem can also occur when trying to install the contents of the diskettes at the root of a hard disk or a partition. One solution is to create an EMME2 directory, change to that directory, then install EMME/2, specifying the partition. Another solution would be to mount the partition differently. For example, if the partition was mounted as \REL8\EMME2 , you should mount it as \REL8; then on the new drive you should change to the EMME2 directory and then install EMME/2.
2.0.2: Why do I get the following message when I try to start EMME/2?
There are several possibilities:
- EMME/2 may not be installed properly or instalLED on a drive other than the drive specified in the PATH or EMME2 variable.
- Your PATH must contain the prog_dir\etc subdirectory in order to access the emme2 procedure. This may be done by adding %EMME2%\etcto the current PATH definition. For example: Variable PATH Variable Value C:\WINNT\system32;C:\WINNT\;%EMME2%\etc
