To derive mutual benefit from the association each party assumes a number of responsibilities. The TRG undertakes to:
- integrate TRIPS into its teaching programme at undergraduate and postgraduate level,
To support this MVA Systematica undertakes to:
- provide the educational TRIPS software package and user manuals free of charge,
- allow TRG staff and students to attend TRIPS training courses free of charge where such training will directly contribute to the use and application of TRIPS,
- make TRIPS team staff available to contribute to the teaching programme,
- provide technical support and advice to the TRG, and
- identify, recommend or advise on suitable avenues of research.
These responsibilities set a broad framework within which the SPECTRE can begin to function and evolve.
TRIPS IN TEACHING
TRIPS formed an integral part of the revised transportation planning module in the 1996/97 MSc Course.
